Help shape one of Switzerland’s next strategic assets: Healthspan
The average healthspan of people in Switzerland is estimated at 71 years. Average lifespan is 84. That’s a 13-year gap where quality of life declines, healthcare costs escalate, workforce productivity drops, and personal independence is lost.
Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) cause more than 80% of deaths in Switzerland. A large part of the risk for NCDs is related to lifestyle and life environment, and improving these factors can add many healthy years to our population.
Our first Swiss Healthspan Summit brings together stakeholders from science, healthcare, business, policy, and innovation to start building the path towards increasing healthspan in Switzerland.
It will be an afternoon of bold ideas, cross-sector dialogue, and the beginning of a coordinated effort to extend healthy years of life, followed by apéro and conversation.
