Dr. Amela Jusić is an elite translational research scientist specializing in the discovery and validation of non-coding RNA biomarkers for cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. She holds a PhD in Biological Sciences and serves as an Associate Professor of Molecular Biology at the University of Tuzla.
Her research profile achieved international prominence upon being awarded a prestigious Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (MSCA), enabling her to spend two years leading advanced clinical research at the Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH) within the Cardiovascular Research Unit. Dr. Jusić’s expertise sits at the cutting edge of precision medicine; she specializes in isolating mitochondrial microRNAs and mapping multi-omics signatures (genomics, transcriptomics, and metabolomics) to identify sub-clinical cardiovascular pathology, track drug response, and design targeted diagnostic panels for complex cardiometabolic disorders.
Topics
• Non-Coding RNA & Mitochondrial MicroRNAs
• Cardiometabolic Disease (CMD) Biomarkers
• Multi-Omics Data Integration & Precision Medicine
• Cardiovascular Genetics & Thrombophilia Polymorphisms
• Translational Drug Development & Patient Stratification
